The Impression series is intended to explore ideas and impulses on a small scale before implementing them in larger works. The freedom of size allows for further exploration into color, texture, mark making and concept. Some ideas once thought promising are quickly abandoned or changed while other times happy accidents or whims sometimes lead to breakthroughs.

They offer reassurance and help visualize paths forward, capturing their impression of the moment.
